Wishing Everyone....

a very Merry Christmas!  Hope Santa brings everyone what they are wishing for and you have time to enjoy the things that are most important to you in your lives.  For me, I am hoping Santa brings me some fiesta-ware....can't say why, just love that dinnerware.  So colorful!  and my mom was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday for pneumonia, so I am wishing that she will be able to come home today so my whole family can enjoy our Christmas traditions together.

My gift to you is this advice ( which I will heed myself!  lol );  Remember, make it about the company, and not the food, to help keep yourself on track.   Allow yourself a treat, so you aren't left feeling deprived....but make sure it's the thing you really desire.  For me....I think I am going to have a piece of cheesecake tomorrow and a few cookies that I DID NOT bake tonight!  :)

And what's in store for the new year?  Lots of new recipes AND a giveaway!!!  My first.  Stay tuned for more details!

  2. Merry Christmas! Hope mom's feeling better. Was admitted for 4.5 days myself with pneumonia earlier this month. Never knew just how long it wipes you out for. And thanks for the reminder about not having the day be about food. Unfortunately DH is working 24 hrs today so its just me and the dogs home alone. I just told my husband I was going to order pizza or chinese to make me feel better but your post reminded me pizza isn't going to change a thing. Except maybe taste delicious! :)
