Blogger Secret Ingredient: Parmesan Line Up and Winner!

Parmesan Cheese is a wonderful ingredient to add lots of flavor to dishes.  A little bit of high quality Parmesan cheese can impart a nice salty and nutty flavor to whatever you add it to.  The submitted recipes for this BSI look wonderful....and here they are in no particular order!

Tami @ Nutmeg Notebook submitted Parmesan Spinach Cakes.  These cute little "cakes" are perfectly portioned and seem really easy to make! When I first saw these on Tami's blog...they immediately went into my "must make" file.

Brianne @ Kale & Cupcakes submitted Eggplant Parm-lasagna. A fantastic meatless meal that's low carb too!  Perfect healthy meal for lent!

Biz @ My Bizzy Kitchen submitted Homemade Parmesan Gnocchi w/ Braised Short Rib Ragu.  Biz admits this meal is a little more work than usual, but well worth it!  I've made gnocchi myself once or twice, and it really is worth the work.  I imagine that ragu brings this dish to a whole new level!

Farihah @ Spice Bites submitted Parmesan Puffs with Rosemary and Cracked Black Pepper.  I can almost taste these savory little bites from the pictures.  Starts with frozen puff it!

Erica @ Itzy's Kitchen submitted Chicken Parmesan Bake.  This looks super easy to make and so comforting.  Erica says her husband LOVES chicken parm, and gave this dish you know it must be good!  It is also on my "must make" list!

Veronica @ Veronica's Cornucopia submitted Low-Carb Eggplant Parmesan w/ Fire Roasted Tomato Sauce and Garlic.    Oh my word, this dish looks fabulous.  Since Veronica and her husband have been going low carb these days, she adapted it to fit into their diets.....I am anxious to try this recipe sometime!

Sara @ Cupacke Muffin submitted Garlic-Orange Caesar Salad w/Shrimp.  A Caesar salad with a twist!  Orange!  Perfectly topped with Parmesan Cheese.

Spinach and Spice submitted Parmesan Grilled Tomatoes.   What a wonderful side dish for any meat.  These truly say summertime to me!   Yummmmmmmm.......

Lisa @ FinkGirl submitted a wonderful Baked Potato Dip.  Sounds soooo good.  (Lisa didn't have a picture. ) Be sure to check out this recipe!

and last, but not least, my submission for Parmesan-Crusted Tilapia.

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you! for all the wonderful submissions for this week's BSI. will be difficult to choose a winner!

Also, thank you for your patience in waiting for the winner announcement and line up.  I was in NYC this weekend and yes, as Biz had alluded to, I did pick up this week's prize from Chelsea Market when I was there. It is this amazing smoked alderwood salt I have been using on meats!  One of my very favorite things right now...from the Filling Station.  Put it on meats you grill indoors to get the smokey flavor of the grill without grilling!

I think ALL these dishes look amazing....if I could send prizes to everyone I would do that!  But since I am forced to choose ONE winner, I think the dish that most caught my eye was Tami @ Nutmeg Notebook's  Parmesan Spinach Cakes.  I love the ease of preparation and the healthy ingredients in them.  I can't wait to make up a batch.  Congrats to Tami!  Please send me your contact info via my email so that I can get your prize out to you!

Be sure to check out all the links to these amazing recipes using Parmesan Cheese!
