Here is a bit of what last week was like for me!
Mornings started off like this....

Morning coffee on the balcony...I miss this the most, I think! I can't think of a better way to start the day! |
and there was plenty of this....
We enjoyed some fabulous food!!

Local Wreck fish...never had it before. Taste of Grouper, texture of sword fish. Very good. Pan seared and served with grits and a corn salsa..never been disappointed by the food at 82 Queen. |

First time eating at Bocci's. Veal Saltimbocca served over polenta with broccolini. Excellent. |
And there was probably way too much of this....

This is a Baily's Irish Cream mousse cake....out of this world. Enjoyed it at Greg Norman's Australian Grille. |
We took in some of the local sites....
And of course there was lots of time spent here....

Please ignore the hands of leather! lol |
I hope to get caught up with reading and post some new recipes soon! I did miss my girls ( dog and cat) while I was gone...and it is nice to be sleeping in my own bed...but I miss the ocean already! :)
If I had to choose one place on this earth to live forever, it would be at the shore...how about you? Where would you live if you had to choose only one place?
GIRL! Why didn't you tell me you were in Charleston! We could have met up! Glad you had fun :) I love it here!

Hi Renee, welcome back!!!!! Looks like a great time!! (woo hoo on the lasting manicure too!)
ReplyDeleteIf I could live anywhere it would be somewhere along the coast where the forest meets the ocean, where life is simple and simply enjoyed! oh to dream. hehe
ReplyDeleteI'm totally intrigued by the Wreckfish, it looked amazing.
ReplyDeleteIf I could live anywhere it would be warm and near the ocean, there is something about watching the waves hit the shore that is just good for the soul.
love the beach and the restaurants look fab enjoy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful (and delish) pics! Glad you had fun :)

What a beautiful place! I'm so glad you had a great vacation.
ReplyDeleteGOR-GEOUS! Wow, that Baily's Irish Cream mousse cake...drool!! What a wonderful time :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know where I would live! I would say southern California for the weather, but I think the Midwest is where the heart is (did I just say that?). In which case, I would choose a Chicago burb.
Morning coffee on a balcony overlooking the water?? Heaven!
ReplyDeleteI love Key West - we honeymooned there - I'd love to go back!
And now I think I need to find a recipe for bailey's irish cream cake!
Some place warm, preferably not too humid, and a beach. And in the south. I'm not sure such place exists! :)
