There's lots of things I love to do outdoors once the weather warms up...and grilling is near the top of the list! I love the way food tastes when it's grilled outdoors and I love not having to clean up a bunch of pots and pans! I also love quick and easy, especially during the busy summer season.

I love to grill all kinds of food, but mostly I love to grill meat!

Pork is great on the grill! From juicy grilled boneless pork chops to grilled orange pork tenderloin, pork is no stranger to my grill. That's why I'm excited to share this recipe for Grilled Pork Loin with Pineapple Salsa with you today!

How to cook pork loin on a gas grill

To make the best grilled pork loin, you'll want to start with a premium pork product like Hatfield ®  marinated pork loin filets. For this grilled pork loin recipe, I chose Hatfield ® Touch of Sea Salt Pork Loin Filet. This simply delicious, full of flavor, and easy to use pork loin filet is perfect for the grill.

As an added bonus, Hatfield ® marinated pork products are ethically raised by family owned American farmers. That makes me feel good about buying these products and feeding them to my friends and family.

Package of Hatfield (r) Touch of Salt Pork Loin Filet for Grilled Pork Loin with Pineapple Salsa by Renee's Kitchen Adventures

Since the Hatfield ® Touch of Salt Pork Loin filet is marinated and seasoned with sea salt, you can grill it straight from the package without any additional seasoning. You will get juicy and tender pork every single time! It simply doesn't get much easier than that! But, I like to add a little extra umph by sprinkling the pork loin with fresh ground pepper and garlic powder.

To cook Hatfield ® Marinated Pork Loin Filet on the gas grill, just drizzle with a little olive oil and cook over medium high heat until the internal temperature reads around 145 degrees F. Once removed from the grill, cover loosely with foil and allow it to rest for 3 to 5 minutes.

This rest period will allow the internal temperature to rise to 145 degrees F (safe temperature to eat pork) thanks to carry over cooking, and allow the juices to redistribute. Don't worry if you still see a blush of pink when you cut into the pork loin filet. That is perfectly fine and as long as it has an internal temperature of 145 degrees F, it's safe to eat.

What's the difference between pork loin and pork tenderloin?

Pork loin and pork tenderloin are cuts from two different parts of the hog. Both cuts are a relatively lean sources of protein. Generally, you'll find pork loin cut into a 2 to 3 pound roast. This recipe for Grilled Pork Loin with Pineapple Salsa uses a cut from the actual pork loin itself, a pork loin filet. Like boneless pork loin chops, pork loin filets are perfectly suited for grilling. Hatfield ® marinated pork loin filets come in several different flavor choices and take about 20 minutes to cook on the grill!

If Hatfield ® marinated pork loin filets aren't available in your store, you can certainly substitute one of their marinated pork tenderloins for this recipe instead.
